Children of the Ice

Not your average Indians coming to America novel
I would give this book six stars if I could, it has all of the stuff you want in a work of pre-history. In fact, I am suprised that there aren't any other reviews of it.
There is a heroine who after a horrific tragedy developes an iron will and a vision given to her by the White Panther of a new and wonderfull land that she will not let go for anyone or anything. It is this struggle that moves the story along at a fast clip, will anyone believe in her vision, will she find her parents in the new land, will anyone come with her, was it all just a childish dream...?
This book could really get six stars, it is that good. A must for any collection.

A very good first outing, a real page turner!
This book has all of the things that make for a great work of historical fiction. Vivid descriptions of the landscape, complex characters, a strong heroine who is not Alya-perfect, and a driving theme that moves the story along at a fast clip. As far as the "Native Americans on their way to the new land of America" books go, this has to be one of the best, right up there with the Gears.
This book has twists, a spirit vision, a fight for survival and the dream of a new life that the heroine will not let go. I would give it six stars, this book is a must for any collection, a very gratifying read.

Children of the Sun

It's the best book I ever read!!!!!
I read it last year when I was 13, I loved it just as much as I loved her other book People of the Mesa. She is my favorite author, I with to continue reading her books. :-) Thank you.

The obsession of revenge has never been so greatly defined.
This tale of one womans struggle with revenge, hatred, and love is simply breathtaking. Nisha's war with her emotions and the people who destroyed her world is masterfully developed.

Each conflict draws the reader deeper into the intricately woven plot until they can identify completely with the main characters. This book simply cannot be put down.

The ending leaves things a bit too unsure, yet this only seems too add to the depth of the possibilites.

The Island Tribe
Published in Paperback by Harper Mass Market Paperbacks (March, 1997)

Captivating!
This is a story of Kori, of the island tribe, her persecution at the hands of her own people and her struggles to survive as an outcast.

Kori's people live on an island that was once an old lava flow off the coast of the mainland. Their fear of 'old ones' (evil ground spirits) has united the tribe in constant 'appeasement' rituals, and virtually eliminated tribal conflict.

Kori, 20, has always been different. She has always questioned the will of the "Old Ones," (the evil ground spirits who guard and harass her people) and the will of her mother, the tribe's shaman.

Unable to secure a mate because of her 'differentness', a conflict with her mother arises which leaves her an outcast.

I really liked this story. While the beginning was rather slow and a little dark (Kori's people's fear of the old ones is at times all-consuming), Kori was a believable heroine, with a likeable personality. Her struggles to be accepted by her tribe, her mother, were at times heart-wrenching. Her eventual romance with a non-tribal male was well-portrayed.

I recommend this novel for fans of 'prehistoric fiction.' You won't be disappointed.

Worth the time
I really enjoyed this book. It is one of those that you stay up really late at night saying "I'll just read one more chapter then I'll go to bed!" It is well written and not "overly symbolic" like you find in some books about this subject. I charcters are believable and the story is great. I already have the sequel on back-order!

The Lost Key: An Explanation and Application of the Masonic Symbols
Published in Paperback by Book Tree (16 May, 2000)
Authors: Prentiss Tucker and Paul Tice
Average review score:

The Illuminati Manifesto
Indeed, this is a good book. But to get even more out of it, read The Illuminati Manifesto.

A revival of Masonry
This book is an excellent guide for the newly-made Master Mason and the Mason who's sat on the sidelines for years watching raising after raising. It explains the symbols of the Craft and gives the meanings behind them in a clear manner. It gives plenty of food for thought, and should be read by all Master Masons that our Craft may be re-invigorated. Priced far below its worth, it is definitely worth the read. Symbols and meanings well put and applicable in your life _today_, regardless of religious belief or personal creed. Definitely Worthy.

This is a wonderful and inspiring book! It consists mainly of Mrs. Prentiss' letters and journal entries interspersed with comments and explanations by her husband, giving a greater and deeper picture of her life than a typical bigoraphy would. Her insights on prayer and suffering are amazing and truly inspire the reader to draw closer to Christ. It has revolutionized my devotional life and I highly recommend it!

A Treasured Companion!
This is a wonderful book! It is a guidebook that describes a philosophy of life and a way of looking at the world that is both elegant and practical. This book struck a chord in me when I first stumbled across it at the public library over ten years ago. Since then, I've lost count of the number of times I've read it and listened to the cassette version. I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. It has become a treasured companion.

From the Peace to the Fraser

Author: Prentiss N. Gray
Average review score:

the journal of a hunter, photographer and explorer
I thought it was great. 1st person Prentiss N. Gray wrote daily of his trips in Canada , Alaska and the lower 48. My favorite was his British Columbia hunts/explorations between the Peace and Fraser rivers as the title of the book sugests. He took his Wife and 2 kids on hunts as well and documents thier success and failures. Well written and how it was in the 1920-1930's PHOTOGRAPHS WERE FANTASTIC and lots of them almost 1 full page original photo of Prentiss' for every 2 pages. The Scores of photos are worth many thousands of words and the book would be worth it for the photos by themselves. The wilds of B.C., Alberta, Alaska, Montana, Wyoming, etc makes you want to go there

Life Changing Book
This book has changed my life. Since reading it, I have gained new insight in my walk with Christ and how to live.
I have a new appreciation for faith, happiness, and sorrow.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is just beginning or has been walking with God for quite some time. I have two children and I l feel new
enthusiasm and peace that I've never felt before when we are together. Buy this book, read it, and use it as a reference!

An inspiration to living the life of a Christian woman.
I was amazed at how this book touched my heart. Kate's struggles seem to be nearly identical to my own life. It is a great source of help to read how she handles different situations in her Christian walk and then apply them to my own life. Easy reading but thought-provoking as well.

Hang on there single gals. . . this story is for you!
Really nothing I write will do justice to this classic biographical/novel of a young woman's journey through life and love. It is highly recommended by Elisabeth Elliot one of my spiritual mentors and those who have read her books will know what that means. I was immensely influenced by "In His Steps" in my teens, but needed a heart to heart view of another young girls's struggles to grow into a godly women as I moved into my twenties as an unmarried young woman. Elisabeth Prentiss' book addressed a real need I had as a young woman yearning to become a godly woman in a modern and sin ridden culture.
